SPREAD THE HEALTH WITH CONNECTIONS

Imagine a workplace full of health-driven social groups, where employees motivate each other, where accomplishments are recognized and celebrated. Now that’s a healthy workplace. As part of our Fall ‘11 Release, we’re proud to introduce Connections, a members-only social health community where employees build networks, share accomplishments, and drive each other toward better health.

Fact: individuals are heavily influenced by the behaviors of those around them. So give your employees a secure forum to “spread the health” with friends and colleagues. With Connections, employees build support networks within your private, members-only community; post updates to share goals and accomplishments; and create groups around common interests and healthy activities. Plus, you can use Connections to add social networking to and drive higher awareness and participation in all your health and wellness programs.

Employees can create events like a lunchtime walking club; add friends
to build a support network; post status updates and invite friends
personal challenges. (Click image for larger view.)

  • Employees use these peer-to-peer interactions to keep themselves and one another on track toward their health goals.
  • It’s yours, it’s safe and secure.
  • Create groups with employees to test new ideas, ask questions, solicit program feedback, and post status updates to bring more awareness to all the programs you offer.
  • Use Connections to get more employees interested in, bring new life to and enhance all your health and wellness programs (e.g., create a support group for employees using your smoking cessation program; or another group that lets employees support each other; let your health coaches provide one-to-many coaching outside of the classroom or coaching call.)

ONE EASY PROGRAM FOR ALL FITNESS LEVELS

To see real results in your programs, you need as many people participating as possible. And that includes highly active employees who may not be motivated by conventional walking programs.

Now, our GoZone® pedometer tracks “Active Minutes” – a way for employees to get credit for more vigorous workouts, and a way for you to keep it simple with one easy program that fits all fitness levels.

  • No matter your employees’ activity preferences (e.g., walking for 30 minutes per day, running for 15, or something else), with “Active Minutes” they can all benefit and earn the same great rewards for the activities they like to do.
  • Employees see how many Active Minutes they’ve earned on their GoZone pedometers, getting real-time feedback on their progress throughout the day.
  • Employees easily monitor their progress over time in their Activity Journal, allowing them to filter data in a variety of measures, now including Active Minutes.
